The GX Sport Series 2 jacket is designed for use in temperate climates, although other riders have commented that it is good in any weather except for winter in the Northern states. The quilted liner is warm, but it is inadequate for temperatures lower than 40 degrees. There numerous vents and waterproof zippers that can allow you to adjust the amount of venting in the jacket. There are also CE-approved elbow pads and shoulder pads. There are some closed-foam pads for the spine and the outside of the elbow and shoulder area (for additional protection).
